TIP #28 – VISIT “PICK-YOUR-OWN” LOCATIONS
Last year, Drake and I went Strawberry picking. We had so much fun! I told him that we’d make this an annual event! We also would like to go apple picking in September/October, as well. We’ll have plenty of apples for snacks, pies, applesauce, etc. They also have activities there for the kids and we'd like to make a big family outing out of it!
And last year, we just started a new one of picking out pumpkins for Halloween at farms, rather than at a store. What I love about this is that you are helping to directly support a farmer rather than giving some of the profit to the stores.
